Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Nigeria observed the World Birth Defects on March 3rd 2022. They put together the following two activities for this year:
1. A lecture given by Dr. Labaran Dayyabu ALIYU (Affiliate member ICBDSR Kano Nigeria) to their hospital community.
2. A live radio talkshow program targeted at the general public in Nigeria.
Both activities were well received and had generated a lot of interest. Additionally, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano Nigeria had established a Registry for Congenital Anomalies about 2 years ago and Dr. Labaran Dayyabu ALIYU has been coordinating the activities of the Registry and soon they will audit cases that they have registered to date.
